Hello Band & Orchestra families,
We are just three weeks away from the Band & Orchestra Benefit Concert! All three ensembles are working on some great music to perform for you, plus there will be a few small groups as well. We have now sold out of VIP and Reserved Tables! We do have many regular admission seats still available for $20 each (plus, your student gets a $5 credit for every ticket sold in advance). All ticket information is here on my blog. It is our goal for each student to sell two tickets (or more), so we'll need every family to make this possible. When you preorder your tickets, you can also preorder a DVD and CD of the event.

This year, the grand prize for the raffle is a $500 Apple gift card! Students were given the opportunity to take home raffle tickets today in class, and all of the information is in the packet. Tickets sell for $3 each or 4 for $10. Students earn 80% of the raffle ticket money they pre sell as an account credit! In addition to the grand prize, there will be a number of drawings throughout the evening for smaller prizes (usually we have about 10 smaller raffle prizes). Raffle winners need not be present to win. Students who sell their whole paket of tickets can return them and get more all the way to February 6.

When you order tickets, please indicate your ability to work a shift doing set up, clean up or during the event itself with the food or the auction. We have a group of a dozen parents coordinating all of our efforts, but we will still need your help to make this the best event possible! Don't forget that we ask each family to bring either a finger food dessert (last name A-K) or appetizer (last name L-Z). We'll provide coffee, water, punch and the always popular chocolate fountain.

New this year, you will have the opportunity to purchase a photo collage of your student including student, section and ensemble photos. Photos will be taken next Friday, January 25 during class. Students need to have their performing attire!!!

We are still working to enable credit card transaction for our event. I'll let you know if this is possible. If not, be sure to bring your checkbook so that you can bid on the many great Silent Auction prizes (hotel, dining, entertainment, wine & much more!), raffle tickets, photo collages and event DVD's or CD's.

Finally, if you would like to make an additional donation (large or small) to help us offset the cost of this event, we will add an extra raffle ticket for every $10 donation. You can send in the money with your student by cash or check, payable to "Pioneer Performing Arts."

See you on Saturday, February 9!
